BUTCHER'S BLOCK

A traditional ‘butcher’s block’ work surface. It is made from hundreds of small blocks of birch, all oriented with the end grain uppermost for a really hard wearing surface.

We had to come up with a pretty clever method of securing the worktop to the base cabinets, as movement within the timber would exert a tremendous amount of pressure on them. So, with our engineered solution in place, the top remains as flat and true as it was when we installed it over eighteen months ago!
